As Winchester garden landscapers, Charlies Gardens are a company that provides everything from garden maintenance, garden design and full garden construction. We have been constructing gardens since 2001 and in that time have been responsible for the construction of 100’s of gardens across Hampshire.
We are proud to have recently worked for the National Trust being awarded the contracts for the construction of Mottisfont Abbey kitchen garden. We also recently constructed the Japanese water garden for Houghton Lodge Gardens resulting in our work being broadly covered by the media nationwide.

Charlie’s Gardens are our ‘go-to’ landscaper for all our large projects at Houghton Lodge Gardens: This is because they are easy to work with, professional and work to a high standard, from hard landscaping to planting borders, trees and creating water gardens. Charlie is an incredibly knowledgeable plantsman and can advise, visualise and interpret our schemes, often in the absence of a formal plan. We have used Charlie’s Gardens for the creation of our Oriental Garden, building the Glasshouse terrace and ramp and most recently removing the box parterre and replanting. We hope they will return this autumn to create a Lilac Walk in the shrubbery. They are a charming team of hard working gardeners where nothing seems to be too much trouble and work is undergone with good nature even in terrible weather.
